Always do good B&W processing & skin tones before going to Photoshop and normal flow
In Camera RAW
Make usual RAW adjustments
HSL Grayscale adjustments
Convert to Grayscale
Control brightness value of the colours in the image
Skin tones in the reds & oranges which can eliminate skin blemishes
Go back to Basic Tab to make more adjustments, B&W works well with brightening up
Repeat above 2 processes to achieve desired result
